I watched the sunset over the downtown skyline from the rooftop bar where I also ate breakfast. My room featured a cityscape view and I ordered dinner to go from the restaurant on the 16th floor. I enjoyed warm chocolate chip cookies at check-in after arriving through the attached parking garage.

Dining at The Class Act

I enjoyed a meal at The Class Act, where the kitchen served a 7 oz steak cooked to perfection. My room had floor to ceiling windows and marble floors in the bathroom. After I finished dinner, I relaxed in my spacious room with modern décor.

Finger foods with wine and beer

I enjoyed the free finger foods with wine and local beer that they set out on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday nights. My suite had a full-size kitchen with a dishwasher and a separate living area, made for a long stay. I also used the free washers and dryers located on the hotel to finish my laundry before leaving.

Viewing the goose from room 213

I stayed in room 213with a couch area and a constant view of a goose. I used the duo shower head and sat on the bench seat in the tub after my workout in the fitness center, where I lifted 5 lb weights. I also ate scrambled eggs and waffles with strawberries during the hot breakfast that served many choices in the morning.

I used the pancake maker in the breakfast area every morning of my stay. I also spent time in the saltwater pool with swimming flotation devices available. I enjoyed the open design lobby while reading the local dining recommendations displayed on the white board by the elevators. Darkness from blackout shades

I slept in my room with the blackout shades fully shut against the morning light. After I woke, I used the Dove bath products in the private bathroom. I grabbed turkey sausage and fresh ground coffee for breakfast before my flight from the Cedar Rapids Airport.

Side exit near my room

I used the side door near my room to take my dog outside after the front desk pointed it out on a map of the hotel. I also ate a breakfast of scrambled eggs and sausage patties in the morning.
